"As a dentist, it was important to find the best neurosurgeon for my microdiscectomy. I found Dr. Johnson based upon a referral from another dentist. In addition, Dr. Johnson was able to see me in 2 days vs. 2 weeks or months. (I was in severe pain...how could I wait weeks or months!) I saw Dr. Johnson and had the surgery the next day. Before I entered the OR, the surgical nurse reassured me that Dr. Johnson was the best. "After 2 years of trying to manage my neck pain surgery became my last option. My primary referred me to Dr. Johnson. Coincidentally, I had several acquaintances suggest Dr. Johnson. "I have found Dr. Johnson, Carmel & their staff to be very kind, compassionate and caring. When I saw Dr. Johnson initially with a buldgin disc I was very hesitant to have surgery. He did not pressure me and encouraged me to take time to see if the pain went away. It increased significantly ouver several months and I finally called and scheduled the surgery. Overall the surgery helped 60-70% of my symptonms. Carmel has been helpful during the 90 day post op period. The only concern I have is that I started falling in early July.
